Project Objectives
Resettlement
To ensure that clients receive skills, training and pro-active support according to individual need as required and to encourage independent living both within the Centre and in The Salvation Army’s Tenant Support Service.
Spiritual
To ensure that spiritual needs can be met through an optional spiritual programme.
Improve Programme
To ensure services are of the highest quality and are tailored to meet individual need and developing sustainable services within the programme according to The Salvation Army National Quality Standards and the Welsh Assembly Government’s Supporting People Service Standards.
Clients
To maximise the client’s full potential through empowerment for the duration of their stay; to ensure that increased emphasis be put on client-led services in order that services become more relevant; to advocate on behalf of clients in order that mainstream services can be accessed and exclusion of the client group is minimised.
Environment
To maximise opportunities in the local environment for the benefit of the homeless person by filling gaps in service provision, and to further consider services with reference to Cardiff City Council’s Homelessness Strategy.
