Emergency Bed Provision
Ty Gobaith help co-ordinate access to emergency accommodation for rough sleepers or those most at risk of sleeping rough in partnership with Cardiff County Council. Funding is provided by the Welsh Assembly Government and Cardiff County Council to fund a post at Ty Gobaith – with the staff member based at the council’s own hostel.
The co-ordinator has the difficult task of co-ordinating the access to emergency provision as provided by Cardiff’s Frontline Accommodation Providers – she has priority access to any beds which become vacant in all the frontline hostels – a system which seems to work well.
