When a person accesses one of these rooms they will be assessed and be expected to agree to a resettlement plan. The key aims of what the resettlement and support programme entail are highlighted below.

  • To seek to empower the service user and facilitate long-term solutions to their housing and support needs.

  • To identify the best available options for the service user’s rehousing.

  • To make best use of the housing resources available, as fairly as possible, and without discrimination to those on the resettlement programme.

  • To ensure that service users referred to other organisations are suitable for those organisations.

  • To seek to support service users, regarding skills and knowledge required in order for successful move on. Areas include:-

    1. Welfare benefits – seeking to maximise the client’s income
